This kid says the darndest things...

"When I'm big, can I have some of that?"

-as he feels daddy's chin stubble

"When I'm big, I can wear daddy's soccer pants!"

- loves going through daddy's drawer full of soccer shirts and pants.

"I wanna buy my size!"

- pointing to all the soccer jersey's in the soccer magazine.

"look! a Cycle Bike!"

- a cycle bike is a motorcycle in his world.

"Can we buy the red kind?"

- "red kind" (AKA: fruit loops or marshmallow matties, which I don't buy anymore)

"I'm a big guy! My turn!"

- very Mr. Independent.

"Lachy"

(you pronounce it LOCKY)

- this is what he calls himself.

"This bugging Lachy- Help!"

"I no like chocolate"

- good then! more for me! he also smells everything before he eats it.

"Mom! Talka Lachy!"

- when I'm not looking DIRECTLY into his little eyes when he's talking to me.

"No talka Lachy like that!"

- anytime I'm telling him to do something.

"Olive, when you're big play hockey and soccer? ...Yeah?!! OK!!!"

- comes with the sweetest voice and biggest grin ever.

"Pee ewe Olive! you stinky!"

"NO Robby! No do that!"

- yes, daddy's real name is Robby and that's what he's called most of the time! ;) but daddy's good at correcting him with "my name is DADDY!"

"hey babe!"

- this is usually said to me in the bathroom as I'm getting ready for the day.

great. thanks daddy for teaching him this one!

"I stinky. Change my bum!"

-um..i think it's time to potty train-don't you think?!

"Santa bring this to my house?!!"

-oh great. now we've really started something! he wants Santa to come again next week!

"Jingle Balls. Jingle Balls all the way......HEY!"

"Season to be JOLLY....fa la la la laaaa...la. la. la. la."

"Snowman. Snowman. tall. tall. tall!"

-Lately he loves to sing. We even find him singing in his bed before he falls asleep at night!

L: "Merry"

Me: Merry Who?

L: "Merry Christmas MOMMY-JOE!!"

- he learned knock knock jokes from his cousins over the holidays and put his own twist to it! He also says "Merry Christmas MOMMY-JOE" over and over as fast as he can!

Oh this boy! I love him to pieces! Everyday he's learning something new. From the day he was born he has never stopped making us smile and laugh (OK, well almost...he is two you know!)

Really... I don't know how he does it! He can make his mommy and daddy laugh hysterically by cracking jokes and being so silly on the way to Grammy's house!

Tis the season for Christmas Cards...

It's pretty sad that we still haven't taken any family pictures (worth printing anyway) for our own Christmas cards. Maybe this week??

So Blessed...

i was reading through some of my old blog posts.

i found this one.

it reminded me of how blessed my life is.

i now have two little children, instead of just one when i wrote that post last year. i delight in some very small things and some very big things.

i have learned some new things along the way. one very important thing is that our family prayer together each day WILL strengthen my love. my family. my faith. it's very easy to forget the little things. thanking my Father in heaven for all that i have on a daily basis is so important to me. He has given me everything. i know that i'm a happier person. more patient. less stressed. more forgiving. calm and peaceful when i communicate with my Heavenly Father.

it seems so simple.

but it's so easy to forget.

R helps remind me daily. he is the one that gathers us together as a family. i'm so thankful that he does this.

it means so much to me.

i saw him perform on Oprah (watch it below) and i don't know if it was my hormones or what, but i got all teary eyed and wished i had T-Vo just so i could watch it over and over again!

a few weeks ago we bought a Honda Odyssey!

i LOVE driving it.

a few months ago i sat in a Toyota Sienna and it just felt weird to me. i didn't want to drive a mini-van!! But ever since we added a new little one to our family and tried squishing all four of us along with all the crap that goes with 2 kids, we just didn't fit in our Tacoma anymore (sniff sniff). My favorite things about it are the DVD system...L loves watching movies on long rides and the windows in the back ROLL down! i love it.

This Bravado bra is seriously the most comfortable bra EVER if you're pregnant or nursing! I bought one when I was about 7 or 8 months pregnant and it was so comfy to sleep in and wear all day long. If I was still nursing, I would buy more!!

These Nike pants come in LONG!!! Do you know how hard it is to find LONG pants??!

Now if I could just get my butt in gear and wear them running!

i decided to try a new body wash. i am going to stalk up on this one....i love it!

it smells SOOO yummy. Even R likes it.

my hair stylist uses this Pureology hydrate shampoo and conditioner on my hair when I go in to get my hair done. i decided to buy a travel size of it to try it out at home and it lasted me a whole month! You only use a dime size because it's so concentrated. The conditioner smells SOOO yummy and makes your scalp tingle! i love it.

oh man I miss living on the mountain sometimes....

i was on one of my outings by myself and was scanning the radio stations....i came across CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!!

it's playing non-stop now at my house and in my car!

and i don't care that R thinks i'm nuts.

My beautiful sister {N}...

Last weekend my family came to visit for little liv's blessing and while we were at the park i talked my sister into letting me take some pictures of her. She's so beautiful! She'll be 13 in a couple of months!!! A teenager. I can't believe it.

Well, i finally had a few minutes to look at them and so here's a preview of our shoot and there's more to come! :)

as for a little update on our little family...

L is officially "terrible" in his "terrible twos!"- he's throwing things, kicking, hitting, spitting, refusing to take a nap, comes into our room at 5 AM wanting cereal and will only eat chicken nuggets and mac & cheese for lunch and dinner!! We might have to have Super-nanny come save us...or send him to Grammy or Mimi's house until he's 3!!!

Little liv is getting the chunky cheeks that L had when he was her age (pics coming soon...i'm really being lazy and don't want to find them on my external hard drive)

She is sleeping like a champ at night...usually 6-7 hours at a stretch and she's even gone 8 hrs a few times! We wake up and rush to her room to make sure she's still breathing. Ah, sleeping even 6 hours is wonderful.

But, it would be nice if I could stop having nightmare dreams... like laying in a hospital bed feeling like I'm being choked to death and running down the dark hospital hall trying to scream HELP or find anyone to help me...Yeah, i know, pretty freaky huh?! Luckily R woke me up because i was trying to scream in my sleep. I did not want to fall back asleep after that one!

I really want (and think i need) a double jogging stroller...i think my pants are shorter because my bum is so big! ha!! really though, i can't scrunch the two kiddies in the stroller we have now without L squishing O's legs and having both of them cry/whine the whole way up the hill to the park! not fun.

Christmas is just 6 weeks away....(hint hint...R if you're reading this, which I highly doubt!)

Well, our little hungry hippo needs to be fed again. It's funny that we get everything ready so that right when we lay her down, we can just jump right into bed to get the most sleep we possibly can! (especially since the L monster is waking up at 5 AM for cereal)

when both L and O are down for a nap AT THE SAME TIME...it's heaven! :)

Life is sweet and wonderful and at times very hard with two little ones now. Thanks for all the love and support we have from our family and friends!

She's Here.....

I can't believe she's here...and she's a chunk!!!

Her name comes from two of her Great Great Grandma's on my side of the family...we've had her name picked out since we found out we were having a girl...and some of us are already calling her by her nickname "Liv".

We love her to pieces and we feel so blessed to have this little girl in our family.

She is a sweetheart!

L LOVES her and is so cute when I see him touch her very gently on the hand or give her a sweet kiss. He's thrown a few tantrums, but I know that this too shall pass...I hope!

Everything went very well {so thankful we only had to push for 10 minutes!!} and we both felt good enough to come home yesterday! Hard days ahead, but trying to enjoy them the best I can! :) Thanks for all your love and support!

i'm not going to be pregnant forever, after all!

my last weeks appointment I was almost 3cm and 70% effaced

YIPPEE!

and we are scheduled to be started on monday (2 whole days away!!)

i had to be started anyway with L even after my water broke, and was a week late so I have decided to be started early.

i'm nervous about it, wondering if it's really what I should do

but excited to get things going and finally see our baby sister!
